Containerized Mobile Seawater Desalination (SWRO) System

Water Source

Sea Water

Technology

SWRO Desalination System

Capacity

240 m³/day

The project includes a containerized Mobile Seawater Desalination (SWRO) system designed to provide potable-quality water. This type of system is particularly suitable for small islands or locations where the required capacity is up to 10 m³/h.

The system includes a seawater feed pump and integrates a complete pretreatment process, beginning with a disc filter followed by Ultra-Filtration (UF) membranes, ensuring stable operation even under varying raw water quality conditions.

The system is equipped with Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes that enable operation at lower pressure, resulting in energy savings while achieving the required TDS levels. The high-pressure pump is a Danfoss iSave unit with an integrated Energy Recovery Device (ERD), reducing energy consumption by approximately 60% compared to systems without energy recovery.

Designed as a two-container solution, the system features full automation for process control, optimization of recovery rates, and safe and efficient operation. The unit enables boron control upon demand, chemical dosing, a CIP system for membrane cleaning, and optional post-treatment processes. The system is suitable for both municipal and industrial applications.

In addition to system design and construction, WMP provides installation services, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and on-site operational support to ensure smooth commissioning and long-term performance optimization.
